Draft · pending legal review
This Privacy Policy is a working draft. It is published as a placeholder to satisfy notification requirements while we finalise our policies with legal counsel.
Who we are
Amilieu Pty Ltd ("Amilieu", "we", "us", "our") is a healthcare AI governance company registered in Australia, with our principal office at 207 / 102 King Street, Newcastle NSW 2300. You can contact us at help@amilieu.io.
We are bound by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles ("APPs").
What this policy covers
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect personal information through our website at amilieu.io (the "Site"). It does not cover personal or health information you may share with us through any future commercial product or pilot — those engagements will be governed by their own data-handling agreements.
What we collect
When you submit an Expression of Interest through the Site, we collect:
- your name;
- your work email address;
- your organisation name and organisation type; and
- any free-text description of the problem you are trying to solve.
We do not knowingly collect health information about identifiable patients through this Site. Please do not include identifiable patient details in the free-text field.
We also receive a limited amount of technical information automatically when you visit the Site — your IP address, browser type, the pages you view, and the time of your visit. This is logged by our hosting provider, Vercel Inc., for security and reliability purposes.
How we use it
We use the information you submit only to:
- contact you about your Expression of Interest;
- understand who is interested in our work and tailor follow-up; and
- comply with our legal obligations.
We do not use your information for direct marketing without your consent, and you can opt out at any time by emailing help@amilieu.io.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We may share it with:
- our service providers, including our website host (Vercel Inc.), our email provider, and any CRM we adopt — all of whom are contractually bound to use it only on our instructions; and
- regulators or law enforcement where required by law.
Cross-border disclosure
Our website is hosted by Vercel Inc., which operates infrastructure in the United States. When you submit information through the Site, it is transferred to and stored on servers in the United States. We take reasonable steps to ensure overseas recipients of personal information handle it consistently with the APPs, but you should be aware that US privacy laws differ from Australian law.
How we protect it
We use industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect personal information from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. These include encrypted transport (HTTPS), access controls, and limiting the personal information we collect in the first place.
Cookies and tracking
The Site currently uses only essential cookies required to deliver content. We do not use third-party advertising trackers. If we add analytics or marketing tools in the future, we will update this policy and, where required, request your consent.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- access the personal information we hold about you;
- correct information you believe is inaccurate, out of date or incomplete;
- delete information we no longer need; or
- complain about how we have handled your information.
Send any such request to help@amilieu.io. We will respond within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Children
The Site is not directed to anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of the policy reflects the most recent version. Material changes will be communicated to anyone we are actively corresponding with.
